The UEFA Champions League 2023/24 group stage concluded with 16 teams making their way to the knockout stage and a Spanish news outlet, Diario AS, revealed the top 10 teams who earned the most from those six games.
Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, FC Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid are ranked in the top five who earned €70m or more.
Madrid were the top earners as they made almost €80m from the UCL group stages. Their earnings were divided into four steps:
• €16.8m from the 6/6 wins
• €9.8m for qualifying for the R16
• €15.6m for playing the group stages
• €36.38m from UEFA coefficient ranking

16 teams have qualified for the Round of 16 after some of the most thrilling encounters which contributed to upsets as teams like Manchester United and AC Milan failed to qualify for the knockout stage.
Teams qualified:
Bayern Munich, Copenhagen, Arsenal, PSV, Real Madrid, Napoli, Real Sociedad, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Lazio, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, RB Leipzig, FC Barcelona, Porto.
Teams finishing top of their group would be drawn to the runner-ups of other groups during the round of 16 draws which will take place on Monday (December 18).
Also, teams who had faced each other in the group stage cannot face one another as well as teams from the same national associates. For example, Dortmund (Group F winners) cannot play Leipzig (Group G runner-ups) as they are both from the same country (Germany).
The round of 16 first legs will be held over two weeks. The first leg will take place on 13, 14, 20, and 21 February, meanwhile, the second leg is scheduled for 5, 6, 12, and 13 March.
This is the 69th season of Europe's elite club competition and the 32nd since it was renamed the UEFA Champions League.
The 2023-24 UEFA Champions League final will take place at London's historic Wembley Stadium.
